The project was undertaken in partnership with ICMBio and the Association of Residents of the São Raimundo Community, AMECSARA, in the Middle Juruá Extractive Reserve, Carauari municipality, Amazonas State. Over 21 days we travelled along the Juruá River, by boat, visiting 16 communities and participating in debates with community leaders and residents, with a view to drawing up their internal regulations.
A meeting was held in the Morada Nova Community in October 2019 with residents and local leaders for discussion and finalization the Rules.
